Sindy: So you're just wrapping up the Justice & Mercy Tour? How are you feeling?
Lacey Mosley: I feel great.

Sindy: What were the highlights of this latest tour?
Lacey Mosley: I guess that we got to play with people we really wanted to play with. Like, there were a couple of bands that got to tour with us that were from our state, and it was really cool to bring them out with us and to watch how well the crowd received them. Also just being on a headlining tour and seeing all the people who come out and really know what you're about. It's great to tour for your own fans, instead of playing for someone else's fans because normally they've maybe heard the single, and really don't know what you're about. This time we had a lot of interaction with our fans that we don't get when we're opening for someone else.

Sindy: So the tour was sponsored by the movie Evan Almighty. What's the connection there?
Lacey Mosley: Well, I'm a big fan of Steve Carell. I think he's just, I don't know, he's real funny, obviously. They sought us out and offered to sponsor our tour in a time when we were about to go into the hole pretty bad because my voice messed up and we had to cancel a bunch of shows. So when they came with the offer to help sponsor the rest of the tour, it helped us a whole lot, so we were really thankful. We've been supporting them, because they've been supporting us.

Sindy: What did you think of the movie?
Lacey Mosley: Actually, I didn't ever see it. I just saw the trailers and read about it. There was so much positive feedback about Evan Almighty from people we really respect.

Sindy: And next you're back on the road with the Family Values Tour?
Lacey Mosley: Yeah, that's right.

Sindy: Are you looking forward to it or are you too tired to think about it?
Lacey Mosley: No, I'm so excited. It's actually a really laidback situation. The people with Korn that do the tours and organize things are so professional and on-the-ball. It's such a relief. All you have to think about is playing. You just get out there, have a good time, play well and the rest of the time you can just enjoy watching bands or hanging out with people. It's one of the most laidback things for us. Touring with Korn is great. They take really good care of the people who are on tour with them.

Sindy: What's your favorite thing about touring?
Lacey Mosley: Just the feeling that I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing right now. I think that there's a special purpose for everybody. And I think that - during this time in my life - I'm working really hard to pay attention to what my purpose is for today. Every day it feels like I'm getting better at stepping into that place.

Sindy: How about the worst thing?
Lacey Mosley: Having to not see my family - my little sister. I have a little sister who just turned 15, and when I started touring she was about 12. It was really hard for me to miss that time with her. I remember one time really considering quitting so I could go and be a big sister to her, and she saw how upset I was or how much I missed her, and she wrote me a letter and asked me not to give up because if I don't give up doing this then she won't give up doing what she thinks she's supposed to do. So that made me feel a lot better.

Sindy: Rumor has it that you'll be back in the studio later this year. Is that true? If it is, what can we expect from the new album?
Lacey Mosley: We're not talking about a new album right now - officially. But we are writing songs. The label we're with just merged with Interscope, which is a big deal for everybody. It's fresh and new and they're re-launching the record in a lot of ways because there's a new video and there's going to be new packaging for the CD. We have this whole new army of people pushing our record, which has already been out for two years, but the way that they're launching it is exciting because it's a really fresh perspective. People have started coming to our shows and saying "I just heard your band last week", but there are also kids who have been with us since the beginning. Everyday it grows and I think that's really cool.
