MAAW EP & Over 600 New Pictures - 44 Comments

The acoustic Fully Alive, the Christmas Song and Justice and Mercy have been added to the radio. Whoever bought the EP while it was on sale at the shows, you rock. To everyone who didn’t get a chance to, I hope you enjoy listening.

Over 600 new photos were added to the gallery yesterday. Yes, over 600. I hope you enjoy those too. :D

Again, a big, huge thanks to Revenant Media for a lot of these pictures.

Stuff - 19 Comments

There hasn’t really been much in the way of new Flyleaf stuff in the past few days. They’ll be wrapping up the Music As A Weapon tour in the next few days, and then taking a well deserved break from the end of December until early February. When the tour ends (in approximately 2 days), I’ll be putting up the MAAW EP on the radio for everyone to enjoy.

The contest to win an EP and various other Flyleaf stuff is ending in little over a week. So be sure to get your entries in before the deadline.

The video page was updated with three new videos. Two are a continuation of the Nokia Theatre set thanks to Ali and Caleb, and the other is the I’m So Sick performance from the Carson Daly show. It’s different than the previously shown performance, and it’s nice quality. A huge thanks to Mike for uploading that for the site. He’s a life saver.

Three albums in the gallery were updated. Click the respective thumbnails to go to the albums.

Major thanks to Revenant Media for donating the pictures on their site. I still have a bunch more to add, but there’s so many that it might have to wait until tomorrow.

Voicemail, New Tour Dates, Fanart, Gallery and Videos - 12 Comments

Flyleaf is participating in this nifty thing where you can sign up to get voicemail messages from the band while they’re on the road. To sign up for it, you all can click here. It’s pretty cool, and they do send the messages. Pat sent out a message last night. He basically summarized the tour and the goings on in their lives. So everyone sign up and listen to messages.

The band will be heading out on a small tour with Three Days Grace in early February. The tour dates are posted on the marquee and on the tour page. To all fans that are interested in going, I encourage you to take advantage of the presale that artistarena is holding. The username and password are “flyleaf” and “tickets” respectively.

In the media section, some new fanart pieces were uploaded. One drawing from Ali and one vexel from Stephanie. Both came out beautifully, so check them out. Also, a big thanks to Ali because we now have another set of videos coming. She recorded the Dallas MAAW show on her camera because she rocks. Thanks to Caleb for editing and uploading.

Edit:A German MTV interview featuring Lacey and Jim Root of Stone Sour was put up on the video page also.

Thanks to Dacia for sending in the new pictures in the gallery.

Tour Dates, Gallery, Chart History - 17 Comments

The lyrics for Justice and Mercy and the Christmas Song are now up in the discography. Also, in the band section, there are some new Australian tour dates as well as some new numbers for the chart history.

The contest is going well. I’ve gotten a bunch of great entries. Thanks to everyone who has made a wallpaper thus far. *puts on cheesy advertising voice* To everyone else, enter for your chance to win! :D

In the gallery, a few new additions were put up. Some from the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland were added, as well as some from a radio show there. A couple more from Flyleaf’s buzznet page, and a Japanese article from Rockin’ On magazine were also put up.

Contest, Discography, Gallery - 5 Comments

The first contest to win a MAAW Tour EP has opened. It’s a wallpaper contest that’s free to anyone who wants to enter. All the information as far as rules and entry info is included on that page. Good luck to everyone who joins!

In the band section, I updated the EP page and the sampler page with information on the MAAW EP and the new ST sampler. I’m working on getting correct lyrics for Justice and Mercy and the Christmas Song. I know I’d probably butcher them if I tried to figure some of them out.

The gallery has gotten a few new uploads. Click the pictures to be taken to the respective albums:

Holiday EP, Gallery, Fanart - 20 Comments

Looks like the Holiday EP for charity is happening. The shipment got mixed up with some Barry Manilow because J Records is awesome. The CDs ended up making it to the band a little late. So if you went to the first few dates of the MAAW tour, you probably missed out on being able to purchase it. I believe the tracklisting is as follows:

1 – Fully Alive (Acoustic)
2 – Much Like Falling
3 – Justice and Mercy
4 – Lacey’s Christmas Song

So finally, after many questions and much anticipation, those songs are being released. I encourage you all to buy the EP’s at your shows as they’re for charity, and include rarities. Only 1,000 EPs are being made, so don’t hesitate. I’ll see if I can pick up some to give away as contest prizes in the future for everyone who might miss out on this tour.

As far as site updates go, the fanart page got a new drawing added to it. Michelle is the artist of that one, so thanks to her for sending it.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone that celebrates! :D

Pictures, Chart History and Flytrap contest - 7 Comments

Although it has one of the cheesier names/descriptions ever seen on the internet, this Buzznet contest called “Flyleaf Groupies” where you can watch the band from the “Flytrap” on stage sounds pretty cool. If that’s something you’re interested in, you should enter.

For everyone who hasn’t noticed yet, Pride (In The Name Of Love) has been added to the Flyleaf radio. I also added the informational radio song page thinger up for everyone to check out. It basically describes the origin of each song on the radio, and how to purchase it or download it if it’s available.

The chart history page has gotten it’s weekly update.

The gallery has also been updated with the following stuff:

Gold Record, Contest, Gallery and Videos! - 5 Comments

It’s official! Flyleaf’s debut album has gone gold. Congratulations to Jared, Pat, Sameer, Lacey and James on all of the great things that have happened in the past few years.

MTV2 is sponsoring a contest where you can meet the band on the Chicago stop of the Music as a Weapon tour. You get an all access pass for the show, and afterwards you get to go bowling with them. You can enter the contest here.

Site updates include a snazzy new navigation dropdown feature thanks to Caleb. The chart history page has been tweaked to include new numbers and the gold certification memo. In addition to that, the last of the videos from the Six Flags show have been added. Another big thank you to Francine for sending the DVD and to Caleb for editing.

The gallery has been updated with the following:

Article, New Tour Date and Signing, Gallery Updates - 48 Comments

Edit: The video page was updated with two more performances from the Six Flags show. Brittany’s been a busy worker bee lately so I hadn’t had a chance to tell her they were ready for the new update. Enjoy. –Caleb

Hey everyone — glad you’re liking the new layout. I’ll see what I can do about adding the acoustic Supernatural to the radio.

In the band section, I added a new interview up that Pat and Sameer did while they were in Germany. They talk about making the record, and their time in Germany amongst other things.

The tour page was updated with a new date that the band is playing in New Hampshire. They’ll be doing a live show at Newbury Comics in Manchester and they’ll be signing autographs after the show. The show starts at 5PM and it’s free so get there early to get a good spot.

The video section is complete. Now you can stream every video on the site. Big, gigantic, enormous thank you to Caleb for doing the live shows page for me. He rules sometimes. :D

In the gallery, I uploaded an album of pictures from Flyleaf’s shows in Germany. I’m not sure which pictures are from where though, so I’ll have to sort them when I find out.

New Stuff - 27 Comments

New layout. New RSS feature. New radio and a new song. New streaming feature on some of the video pages. I’ll work on getting the rest of the videos up and streaming soon. Each video has to have its own individually coded page, so hopefully I’ll have the live shows page (which has 104 videos) up within this century.

Hope everyone enjoys it. If you have requests for the radio, let me know and I’ll see what I can do. :D

*falls over and goes to bed*

Coming Soon To Theatres - 8 Comments

Edit: I found what looks to be the tracklisting for the Family Values Tour DVD and CD. From what I understand the two will be sold separately. On the CD, Flyleaf will have tracks for I’m So Sick and Pride (In The Name Of Love) with Richard Patrick, and on the DVD they’ll have I’m So Sick and Something I Can Never Have. The DVD and CD should be released on December 26th according to the FVT site. You can sign up to promote the release here.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I’m still alive and kickin’. The Flyleaf world has been a little quiet as of late with the band overseas, so I’ve been doing some stuff behind the scenes. A big feature is going to be unveiled in the near future. I’m not sure how near, because it’s proving to be a lot of work, but hopefully everyone will enjoy it once it’s ready. I’m also fiddling with a new look for the site with a slightly different setup. If anyone has thoughts on what they’d like to see on it, feel free to send an email with suggestions.

Onto the updates (which are few, but better than nothing)! The chart history has been updated. They’re up to about 421,000 albums sold now.

The video page has a couple new additions. Continued thanks to Francine and Caleb for those. Speshul thanks to Caleb for updating for me when I was real tired. Work has been kicking my butt as of late.

Anddddd in the gallery, some more from the Cornerstone Festival were added as well as a few of Flyleaf with fans.

Also, a biiiiiiiiiiig, giant happy birthday to Pat and Jared. *<8D

A Fresh Updating Face - 18 Comments

So… Brittany’s off in dreamland because she works like a slave these days, which means I’ll be bringing you folks the update tonight. To start off with, we’ve got three new videos from the Six Flags performance up on the video page, so check those out. Thanks again to Francine for sharing that show; I start to feel like something’s missing if I go too long without working on a Flyleaf live show, ha.

Next, some additions were made to the gallery. A new shot was added from the Cornerstone Festival, as well as some from Loud Park and a few fan candids.

The chart history page was also updated with some new numbers.

An incredible acoustic version of Supernatural was released on Rhapsody a couple days ago, but as of press time here, it didn’t seem to be available any longer. Justin is our resident Rhapsody person so if it ends up being available after all, we can point our collective blame fingers at him =). In any case, it’s worth keeping an eye out for.

On a different note, the staff page was updated the other day with a couple things about yours truly. I’m probably not as exciting (or as pretty…) as Brittany, but hey, there’s something up there if anyone ever happened to wonder.

Videos, Pictures, and News — OH MY! - 34 Comments

It appears that the little birdy rumor of a brand new official Flyleaf myspace layout was true. Go take a look at it. It’s pretty awesome.

It looks like the Glens Falls Civic Center date has disappeared from the MySpace. Since it’s the day before Thanksgiving, I’m guessing they’re going home to spend time with their families. So if you’re going to that date only for Flyleaf, you might want to wait a little bit until you buy tickets. Speaking of those — tickets are now on sale for most of the dates.

In the band section, the chart history was updated. They’re up to #13 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart for Fully Alive.

The video section has a few new videos. A super high quality Carson Daly video was added thanks to Mike, and the LQ is thanks to Scott at LM.net. Caleb encoded both for the site, so I a-pre-she-ate that. A couple of Francine’s videos from the Six Flags show were also put up. Caleb also encoded those for the site, so I a-pre-she-ate that too.

In the gallery, a bunch of albums were updated. Click on the respective thumbnails to view them.

Ticket Sales, News and Pictures - 21 Comments

A few of the dates for the Disturbed tour have shown up on Ticketmaster for sale. I’ll try to keep an eye out to let everyone know when the rest are coming.

I heard a rumor from a little birdy that a new official MySpace layout is in the works, as well as a new EP that might be sold exclusively at the Music as a Weapon tour for charity. So start saving your pennies incase it happens so you can buy a few.

The official store has been updated with three new shirts and a brand new hoodie.

As for the Carson Daly video — there was an issue with the recording of the show, and unfortunately as of this moment, we don’t have a copy. But Scott of LaceyMosley.net has come to the rescue and said that he’ll provide us one. So whenever he sends it, I’ll add it up.

A new photoshoot and scans from Kerrang magazine have been added to the gallery. Click the respective pictures to view the albums.

Music as a Weapon Tour, Buzznet Video, AOL Music - 4 Comments

The Music as a Weapon Tour III dates have been released. I have the whole batch of them, along with Flyleaf’s TV appearances listed on the tour page. I also fixed up the navigation for the tour archive and made it a little easier to surf through.

Today is also the one year anniversary of the Flyleaf LP debut. They’ve come quite a long way in the past year, and they all deserve a big congratulations on it. So congrats!

Lacey has been recognized by AOL Music as being one of the Top 20 “Women Who Rock”. She came in at #11. You can read what they had to say about her here.

Sean, the winner of Buzznet’s Fly Away contest was able to interview Flyleaf at the Boston date of the Family Values Tour. You can view the video here.

In the gallery, a few photos from Flyleaf’s performance on CD USA were added. You can see Pat’s supa awesome sharpie ‘stache in a few of them. You can also get a pretty clear view of Lacey’s new hair. I know a lot of people have been asking for pictures of it.

CD USA Performance - 5 Comments

For anyone who hasn’t already seen it. Here’s the CD USA performance of Fully Alive.

Edit: Alrighty. A higher quality MPG of the CD USA performance has been uploaded, as well as a WMV file. Thank you to Mike for the original files, and to Caleb for encoding the MPG to make it smaller.

In the gallery, I updated the following albums:

The date for the Last Call with Carson Daly performance is on Friday night (technically Saturday morning really early) at 1:35AM EST. If you’re in a different timezone, you might want to check your local listings to make sure. The site will most likely have the video up soon after the airing of it.

The Making of Fully Alive is going to be shown on Fuse at the following times:

10/11 @ 10PM and 2AM
10/13 @ 2PM
10/16 @ 2PM
10/20 @ 10PM
10/27 @ 10PM
11/02 @ 5:30PM
11/04 @ 4:30PM

I’m not sure if that’ll be the same one that aired on MTV2. The video of the MTV2 airing is in the video section, but incase it’s not, those are the dates.

Loads of Pictures and Chart History - 2 Comments

In addition to the over 100 pictures added in the past couple days, the chart history was updated. The band is nearing gold status with about 450,000 CDs shipped and 392,600 sold. From what I understand, gold status comes with shipping 500,000 albums, so they’re really close. They’ve also moved up to #14 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

Thanks to Francine, we’re going to have some video from the Six Flags show. She sent out the DVD the other day, so we’ll start adding those up as soon as they arrive and get chopped up for the site.

LJ Community, Last.FM, Pictures - 8 Comments

For everyone who has an LJ, feel free to join the Flyleaf community I made. I registered the name back in December of last year, but I never customized it or anything until recently. It’s now open for business though. Once it gains some members, I’ll open applications for moderators/maintainers to help run the community.

I’m not sure if I ever put it here, but I opened a Flyleaf group on Last.FM. So if you have an account there, feel free to join that too and post on the forums if you’re feeling whimsical.

In the gallery, I added a few pictures from The Metro thanks to Samantha S.

As for the CD USA thing, if it would be possible for someone to nab a video copy of their performance on that show for the site, that would be awesome. Neither Caleb or I are Direct TV customers, so we can’t do it unfortunately. If you can do it, please email me and let me know. Thanks in advance to anyone who’s willing.

Also, the Carson Daly show is only being taped on the 28th. I don’t think that’s when the show actually airs. They’re not listed as being on for Thursday. Whenever I figure out the actual air date, I’ll update everyone here.

Gallery Updates - 4 Comments

Not much going on today other than gallery updates. Click the respective pictures to go to the albums.

I also tweaked the gallery settings. Now people can comment and rate photos without having to register. So feel free to do so. :]

Carson Daly, CD USA, Wallpaper, Videos - 5 Comments

According to Flyleaf’s MySpace, the band is going to be taping a performance for Last Call with Carson Daly on September 28th. They’ll also be taping a performance for CD USA on the same day. Information on how to attend these shows can be found on 1iota.com.

The interview for Lacey was sent out today, so there’s no need to send more questions in. Since there were so many (even after I narrowed them down), she’s going to send one question/answer at a time that I’ll post with an update.

In the media section, the last two videos from Bethel were added. I think that’s the last of the videos that we have for now. So enjoy the 139 videos on the site, ’cause it’s all you’re gettin’ for now. ;) Also, I added two new wallpapers.

Yesterday, I did a massive upgrade to the gallery software. It was running on a really old version. It took me a good chunk of the night to get everything backed up and updated. I had to recode the template because the old one didn’t want to cooperate with the new one. I doubt anybody will notice a change, but it’s an update nonetheless. Aside from that, I added a few new SPAC pictures taken by my awesome local radio station 103.1. There hasn’t been much else surfacing lately, so if you guys are taking pictures, feel free to send them in if you wouldn’t mind seeing them in the gallery.

I updated the Flyleaf links page today with a few new sites. If any of you run a Flyleaf fansite or forum, email me and I’ll add your link to that page.
