FormSpring, Gallery and YouTube! - 16 Comments

I’m sure a lot of you have played around with the FormSpring site before. It’s a pretty interesting thing, so I thought I would start up a page for, where you can ask questions about the band, site, etc. You can click on the link to get to the page, or type in your question on the side bar. In running the website for 5 years, I’ve picked up on some facts & trivia along the way. Maybe you can find out something cool you didn’t know before! Personal questions about the band won’t be answered, but that goes without saying. Let’s keep it fun. :D

Tons of pictures can be seen below! I have a ton more to add as well, so stay tuned if you’ve sent in photos and you don’t see them up yet. If you’ve taken pictures at a show and want to contribute, you can email them to

Laura stumbled upon this video where the band talks about their driving force, almost quitting, and how the scrapbooks that you guys have all contributed to have helped them keep going. I thought it was really awesome that Lacey mentioned it.

Lacey Sturm (Flyleaf) – Healing for Haiti from SP Video on Vimeo.

Thanks to Franklin for finding this video. :) You all should watch this video. It’s a really long interview with Pat from the earlier Memento Mori era. I can’t embed it here, but you should definitely check it out. Also, I found another cool video with Sameer/Lacey while browsing the site that I’ll post below.

Criminal Minds, Video news, Interview! - 10 Comments

Hey guys! Flyleaf was featured on the show Criminal Minds that aired on January 20, 2010. They played a clip of Enemy, which is pretty awesome! Thanks to Bianca for being the first to let me know.

We’ve all seen the tons of pictures that Flyleaf has posted on their Facebook, but we now know that Diane Martel directed the video. She’s done stuff for Britney, Avril, The White Stripes, Justin Timberlake, etc. So you know it’s probably going to be really great. I’m excited to see it! Looks like it’s going to be pretty amazing from the photos.

On the note of videos, a guy named Sam Tindall is making a video for Chasm. There’s more information (photos/news) on Facebook if you search for ‘flyleaf chasm’. It looks like it’s going to be really great. So go check it out on FB.

You can listen to a new(ish) Flyleaf interview here. Thanks to Laura for finding it.

The chart page was also updated with new numbers. Memento Mori has found the hands of over 181,000 people already. Pretty amazing. Even after a few months, I listen to the album all the time. I won’t lie. It’s pretty fun to sing it in the car on road trips. Caleb probably doesn’t like it much, but WHATEV. It’s fine.

Tour Dates & Scrapbook! - 18 Comments

Tons and tons of new tour dates with Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace have been announced in the past couple weeks, and they’re all posted here. Thanks to Caleb for uploading them. :) We’re going to be at a few of them (like always), so I hope to see some of you there! :)

According to the band’s Twitter page, they are currently recording the music video for Missing. You can view lots of pictures on their FaceBook. Here’s one just to give you guys an idea of what to expect!

For this upcoming tour, I’m going to be putting together another Flyleaf Scrapbook to give to the band. If Memento Mori has moved you in any way (or anything else related to the band), please share it here. I have a feeling this one is going to be a good one. :D I think this will be number 5!

Altitude Interview Part 2 & Interview & Pictures - 3 Comments

Interview with Lacey

What message do you want people to come away with when they listen to Memento Mori?

There’s a song on the album, called “Arise,” which sums up the message we want people to walk away with. We want them to come away feeling empowered to arise and be all that they were meant to be, so that they can ultimately fulfill their purpose. The lyrics say, “Arise and be all that you dream”—but I believe most people have a purpose for their lives that far exceeds any dream they could ever have. Even on our self-titled record it says that our lives should exceed all that we can dream, and that’s how I feel when I’m singing “Arise.” I believe there’s a purpose for your life that only you were meant to fulfill. So our prayer, for anyone who listens to the message on the record, is that they would fulfill their purpose and answer the highest calling for their lives.

I also updated the tour dates and chart history page with updated chart info regarding Memento Mori! The debuted really high all over the place on the Billboard charts. Yay! I also uploaded some photos that I took at the NYC show, and the scans from Memento Mori’s booklet.

New Layout & Beautiful Bride! - 33 Comments

Hey guys! To celebrate the release of Memento Mori (which came out officially an hour ago), I switched up the layout. I used the image of Pat’s wood cut that was used for the lithograph printing as the header image, because it’s immensely awesome. Workin’ out the kinks, so bare with me for a little while. Hope you enjoy it! :)

Oh, and here’s the Beautiful Bride video. Pretty frickin’ awesome, no? I kinda love it 10 times more than Again. I won’t lie.

Hola! Memento Mori commercial hereeeee! - 19 Comments

Hey! So technically I lied. No new layout yet. I’m almost done working on it though. It’s coming out pretty cool. I used the lithograph from the listening parties as the header graphic because Pat’s artwork is awesome. The new layout should be up within the next couple of days, hopefully.

I’ve completely reuploaded the news management system of the site. Hopefully that takes care of the issues we’ve been having here. If it doesn’t, I’m going to just find something other than wordpress to update with. If I have to do it manually, I will. I’m so doooone with the virus attacks. Please let me know if you have issues via my email (

Jimmy Kimmel Performance of “Again”! - 31 Comments

It’s so good to see Flyleaf on TV again. They did a great job. Late night TV is never forgiving as far as sound with any band, but the song came across beautifully. So much energy just like always. I looooove this band.

Hopefully we get the full performance of Beautiful Bride too from Kimmel. I really think at the shows us fans go to…we need to shout the “NOW” part in BB. It’ll be so fun. And I’ll give everyone a dollar. Can’t beat that.

Radio Appearance, Interview, and Webisode. - 13 Comments

FLYLEAF will guest on the nationally syndicated radio show “Rockline” with host Bob Coburn on Monday, November 2 at 8:30 p.m. PT / 11:30 p.m. ET. Fans are encouraged to speak with FLYLEAF by calling 1-800-344-ROCK (7625). More Info.

There is a new webisode that talks about Pat’s Artwork. Be sure you check it out!

Another thing is that there is a new article/interview where Lacey talked about Memento Mori, their success, what has changed them, etc..

Virtue is a quality so often lost on rock musicians, don’t you think?  The news-makers of rock embody excessiveness and hedonism on a scale that most of us can barely comprehend.  Their sexual exploits and destructive behavior fuel a scandal-hungry public, voraciously seeking to devour the next morsel of surfeit overindulgence.

Gee, is this a setup for an exception to the rule or what?!

The answer is yes, and the exception is Lacey Mosley.  Puritanical?  No.  Rock Goddess?  Well, she’s getting there, even if she is reluctant to do so.  As the front-woman for Flyleaf, a hard-rocking quartet personifying pseudo-Christian thematicism, she has come to define the rock front-person (politically correct much?) as more of a messenger of hope than a transmitter of introspective woe.

This became perfectly clear during an phone interview with Lacey who, with Flyleaf, is set to make a big second impression with their sophomore effort, Momento Mori. -Source/Rest of the Interview.

[Yes, I understand they spelled ‘Memento’ incorrectly, and also still call her Mosley.]

Sameer also did a telephone interview:

Patience must be a virtue for Flyleaf guitarist Sameer Bhattacharya as he awaits the release of the band’s new album “Memento Mori.”

“I have never been so excited for anything we have done as a band … than for this record ‘Memento Mori;’ I really feel like this record is really significant in our life,” Bhattacharya said in a recent telephone interview. -Continue

Message to Young Women

Unfortunately, I don’t really have a way of recording this one. So if somebody wanted to record it and send me the HD rip of it, I’d be more than willing to send you a cool Flyleaf related gift in return. :) Email me if you’re interested!
