According to Flyleaf’s , the band is going to be taping a performance for Last Call with Carson Daly on September 28th. They’ll also be taping a performance for CD USA on the same day. Information on how to attend these shows can be found on .
The interview for Lacey was sent out today, so there’s no need to send more questions in. Since there were so many (even after I narrowed them down), she’s going to send one question/answer at a time that I’ll post with an update.
In the media section, the last two videos from Bethel were added. I think that’s the last of the videos that we have for now. So enjoy the 139 videos on the site, ’cause it’s all you’re gettin’ for now. ;) Also, I added two new wallpapers.
Yesterday, I did a massive upgrade to the gallery software. It was running on a really old version. It took me a good chunk of the night to get everything backed up and updated. I had to recode the template because the old one didn’t want to cooperate with the new one. I doubt anybody will notice a change, but it’s an update nonetheless. Aside from that, I added a few new SPAC pictures taken by my awesome local radio station 103.1. There hasn’t been much else surfacing lately, so if you guys are taking pictures, feel free to send them in if you wouldn’t mind seeing them in the gallery.
I updated the Flyleaf links page today with a few new sites. If any of you run a Flyleaf fansite or forum, email me and I’ll add your link to that page.
I got bored and decided to switch around the layout a little. The gallery layout has a new header too. It’ll probably stay like this for a while, but heck, you never know with me.
I’m not entirely sure what’s going on with . A few people have asked through email, so I figured I should address it here. It seems to be a server issue since several other sites on the server are timing out. I’m not sure when it’ll be back up. Hopefully soon.
First bit of news — Flyleaf is releasing their debut album with Tina added to the tracklisting. It’ll also be enhanced with the Breathe Today video and the I’m So Sick video. When it becomes available, you can purchase it at Amazon.com. I’m not sure if that version will be available in stores or just as an import, but either way it’s pretty nice to have Tina on a CD.
The band section was updated with a couple new articles. One of them is called Texas Hard Rockers With A Taste For Literature and the other is an interview Sameer did with Sony Australia. Chart history was tweaked a little with a new albums sold count. Fully Alive has moved up another slot to #20 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
I also updated the since the official store has moved. In addition to new shirts, the prices have been raised to 30-35 dollars per t-shirt plus shipping [which is kind of outrageous]. I wonder if the shirts will be that expensive at shows. Anybody been to any Family Values dates that can vouch for the price of the shirts there?
In the media section, some new icons were added thanks to Anja. A handful of videos were added as well. The rest of the Juanita’s show and an interview from Rock Circus were added.
20 shots from Coors Amphitheater were put up. Those were taken by Scott Smith. A few more from Flyleaf’s Buzznet account were also added.
Hey everyone. Thanks for all the comments on the layout. It’s cool that nobody hates it. Or maybe people do and just didn’t comment. Either way! Thank you. :]
In the band section, I updated the chart history once again. Fully Alive has moved up to #21 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks Chart and they’ve sold 322,400 albums in total. Also, they’re currently #67 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, so congratulations to Flyleaf.
The media section was updated with a bunch of new icons thanks to Brittani. One new signature was also put up thanks to Demonspitfir. On the video page, four new videos from Juanita’s were added thanks to Caleb, as well as the MTV2 All That Rock’s performance of I’m So Sick thanks to Joey. The video section now has over 120 videos, which is pretty neat.
The gallery was updated with:
- 43 Buzznet Candids – Thanks to Flyleaf’s account.
- 13 Outtakes from the James Minchin photoshoot.
- 14 Smirnoff Music Centre shots – Thanks to Greg Smith.
- 29 The Door photos from 2002 – Thanks to Greg Smith.
Also, on , I made 6 new headers and put them into rotation. If you guys haven’t registered at that forum, you should check it out. There’s about 2,100 members.
Flyleaf Online has been officially made over. It took a bit of self control to keep it light, since I normally can’t help making graphics dark. Sorry in advance if you liked the other one better. I needed something new to look at. You might have to refresh or clear your cache to see it all properly. I’ll probably redo the gallery layout sometime soon, and perhaps the fanlisting one as well. We’ll see.
As far as updates, there aren’t many since I was busy with the layout. I’ll probably edit this post later on tonight with more if I can find something to add.
In the media section, I added a few new promotional tools. I also added a text area under each banner so you can just copy and paste the code on your MySpace or wherever you want. On the video page, I added four live videos from Juanita’s. Red Sam was left out because of the abounding technical difficulties with the sound in case anyone was wondering why it wasn’t there.
In the gallery, I added a bunch more photos to the Bob Carmichael album. Those pictures are pretty old, but nice. Several from last nights show in San Antonio were added here thanks to Ali. About 15 shots from the Pensacola Civic Center were put up here thanks to John at .
The show in Oklahoma and Jimmy Kimmel were apparently cancelled for a good reason. The band is currently in LA getting ready to shoot the video for Fully Alive. Jared posted a MySpace bulletin letting everyone know about a few things.
Hey everyone! I hope you all are doing well. We’ve been so busy with touring lately. The shows are going great and thanks so much to all of our fans who are coming out to support us!
This week we are in LA shooting our new music video for “Fully Alive” with The Brothers Strauss again. They’re really great guys, and the video seems like its going to be really cool so keep your eyes open for it.
We’re at a photo shoot right now and we’re all getting our hair, make-up, and wardrobe done. Then tomorrow, we’ll start shooting the music video. By Friday we will be in Atlanta and we’ll do the second half of our headlining tour until we get a few weeks off in July. We’re all looking forward to being home for a bit.
Here in the next few days we’re going to be posting some behind the scenes pictures that we’ve been taking while we’ve been on the road, so keep your eyes peeled!
Thanks again for your support and we’ll see you soon!
Take care and God bless,
Jared
Before I start rambling on about other site updates, I’d like to extend a big Happy Birthday to James. :]
For everybody in the Atlanta area, Flyleaf will be playing a free in-store performance at Criminal Records on June 23rd at 6PM before their scheduled show. According to the email I got earlier today, it should be an acoustic type setting.
In the media section, I added a graphic fanart made by Val and two short videos from Edgefest thanks to Tracie.
I’ve been sitting here for the past week waiting for some news to pop up like it always tends to do, and there hasn’t been anything. So I pretty much just updated what I could because I’m desperate.
In the band section, the chart history page has been updated with a new albums sold total. Some European tour dates have also been added. There’s also a headlining date that Flyleaf is playing in Toronto on June 14th. So you Canadian fans should jump on that if you can. I know you’ve been waiting for a tour date. The FAQ has also been updated with a few more questions.
The media section was updated with some new fanart thanks to Carly and Myranie. One new wallpaper was added as well. I also spent about fifteen zillion hours working on the video page. Those description popups are finally working. Also, three new videos from Stubb’s BBQ were added. Thanks to Josh for the DVD and Caleb for cutting it up and uploading. Some more videos are to come in the next few days.
Two new affiliates were added. and . I’m a moderator over at , incase anyone was aching to know. Woo for EvBoard.
In the gallery, some photos from May Day 2006 were put up. A few candids from the bands MySpace were also added. One shot from Rock am Ring got put up. I’ll work on getting more from there. Some super old pictures from The Vibe were added from when the band was Passerby thanks to Josh. A bunch from the Varsity Theater were added thanks to Rabbit as well as a few of her and Marika with Flyleaf and a setlist. A set from the WHFS Festival was put up, and a few miscellaneous ones were as well.
It’s been confirmed that Flyleaf will be playing June 10th on the Gibson stage at Download Festival 2006. If you’re going and you’d like to see the lineup, you can look .
On the MySpace layouts page, I added one new group layout, and five layouts from the I’m So Sick video. They follow the same theme, and there’s one for each band member. On the video page, the rest of the MTV2 interviews were added. Thanks to Josh for those. Some beautiful icons were put up as well. Those were made by on LJ.
In the gallery, some pictures were added to the autographs section. One is of a Flyleaf pick but I wasn’t sure where to put that so I stuck it in there. Some miscellaneous live shots and a few from the Showplace Theatre were added too.
Edit: The Zydeco videos were added. Thanks to Caleb for those.
I think we can start off with a bit of good news today. Flyleaf will be hosting MTV2′s “T-Minus Rock” the week of the 24th, and will also be appearing and performing on Fuse’s Daily Download. Hopefully we’ll be able to get those online after they air, so don’t fret if you don’t have those channels. Also, on MTVU’s website, you can for an interview they’ll be doing with the band. When it’s posted, I’ll let you know.
For those of you that were looking for a legal Something I Can Never Have download without having to buy the full CD, iTunes finally added it. So go get it; it’s only 99 cents.
Flyleaf are rumored to be touring with Korn and Deftones during late summer/early fall, but I’m not sure if it’s been confirmed yet. I keep seeing it all over the place, so I figured I should mention it.
In the band section, I updated the chart history page, and also added a bunch of tidbits to the interesting facts page. Since a bunch of people are always asking, I compiled a little list of the things that Lacey writes on herself and where they’re from. I’m sure there’s more, but that’s what I could find for now.
In the media section, I added a wonderful drawing that a girl named Audra did. I also recoded the wallpaper page and added a new set of signatures. The newest RadioU interview was put up on the audio page. Thanks to Brandon for that mp3.
The gallery has a new layout. It took me a while to get the coding just right, which resulted in me wanting to rip my hair out…but I’m happy with how it came out. I added a bunch of pictures from the Yahoo! Studio from when the band did the performance of “I’m So Sick”. Some more from Juanita’s were added thanks to Stevie. Also put up a picture with Audra, her drawing and Lacey here.
First off, the lyrics to Guilty and Okay have finally been added. I can’t guarantee that they’re 100% correct, but it’s as close as we’re getting for now.
In the media section, I added up some icon bases that from the made. Also, a couple new shows were put up in the audio section. Three acoustic tracks were added too. Two acoustic versions of I’m So Sick and one of Believe in Dreams. So check them out. Oh, annnd I added Ocean Waves to the Flyleaf Radio upon request.
Within the next few days, the show from Montgomery Alabama will be added to the video section. To those of you that want something now, you can download Okay/Tina from that show. Please right click and hit save target as because the file isn’t zipped. I would appreciate it. To those on dialup, beware. The file is about 200 mbs. Thanks to Caleb for his awesomeness.
