Click here to view a new media section of FlyleafOnline.com. I decided to enter the 21st century, and created some iPhone wallpapers for you guys. In addition to the ones shown above, there are also separate wallpapers for each band member. So check them out! I’ll be adding more in the future, so if you have anything you’d like to see, let me know. :]
Hey y’all! Just wanted to let you know that I went and updated the Flyleaf Online photoshop brush set that is available for free download. I’ve collected a lot of logos and symbols that Flyleaf has used in the past few years, and combined them all into a convenient pack of brushes that you can download by clicking the image above.
In my quest to update the brush set, I ended up researching and found a lot of the original fonts used in Flyleaf’s album artwork and logos. So I’ll be uploading a free font pack for all of you within the next few days, so stay tuned!
If there’s anything you’d like to see here, let me know! Always down for suggestions and comments. Thanks for lookin’! <3
So I updated the gallery layout so it looks just as supa dupa fly as the main page. As far as photos go, I added a batch of high resolution versions of Flyleaf’s newer logos here. Feel free to use those in graphics, or to promote the band on the web! In addition to that, I uploaded some photos from 96 Rock Acoustic (03/06/2013) and more from the Chili Cookoff.
I also went through the site today and updated a lot of things! First off, in the Flyleaf Info section, I updated the Flyleaf Biography with their most current bio. I also added some new information to the Flyleaf FAQ regarding Kristen joining, and some New Horizons/Who We Are song meanings. Information and lyrics for the songs on the Who We Are EP have been added to the discography. I have lyrics for the new album songs (Marionette, Thread, City Kids, Set Me On Fire, etc), but I’m not sure if it’s time to post them since a lot of those songs are PledgeMusic exclusives. I’ll ask around and get back to you guys. ;)
I also created some new wallpapers with some of the new promotional pictures in high resolution for your desktop! I hope you enjoy. <3
I added some acoustic videos to the pro-shot live video page including the Buzznet videos Lacey and Pat did, the Pentagon videos the whole band did, and the recent 103.9 acoustics that Lacey and Jared did.
In addition to that, I added a page for Laura’s wallpapers. She’s super talented at making desktops, so go check those out.
Last but not least, I added the singles from Memento Mori and Broken Pieces to the radio. Enjoy!
Tomorrow marks the first date of the upcoming tour. So if you attend any dates and have videos/pictures to share, send ‘em in! You’ll get full credit for whatever you share. :)
Woo! For the record, I’ll be going to the Boston, Jermyn, Sayreville, Columbus and Chicago dates of the upcoming tour. Feel free to say hi. I’m only slightly awkward. Promise.
Hey everyone! I added the new tour dates from the Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin shows on the tour dates page, as well as some dates that the band will be doing in the UK.
Here are links to the long awaited Pentagon Performances! To view Again and Justice & Mercy (Acoustic) click here. To view the band’s cover of “O Holy Night”, click here. They start playing at around 7 minutes in. Thanks to Franklin for finding these. Below is an interview with various bands (including Lacey/Pat) about worst Christmas presents ever. Thanks to Dirick for this one!
I hope that everyone has a beautiful Christmas (if you celebrate)! I may not update before then. We’ll see if anything pops up.
The Passerby Army chat with Sameer went really well. I think around 40 people were involved, and it was really hard to keep up, but it was cool. Pat showed up about 15 minutes after Sameer did, surprising everyone. A lot of fun facts were learned about the two of them including Sameer’s favorite authors, what Have We Lost means and something about Pat wearing high heels. All in all, a good time was had by all.
The frequently asked questions page was updated with the meaning of Have We Lost and some info about what Lacey sings before Justice and Mercy at shows. In addition to that, a few more tour dates have been added.
As far as fans/media goes, the fan tattoos page has been updated with Kayla’s tattoo and story. Some new wallpapers were also added thanks to Marley.
I have lots and lots of updates tonight, starting with the chart history page. Breathe Today has moved up a few spots to #36 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. In addition to that, the tour page has been updated with new dates. Flyleaf will be playing a few Christian festivals this summer including Creation and Sonshine. I added a show count to each year, and a total one to the main tour page as well. After tallying them all up, the band has played over 550 shows since 2002 that I’ve logged in the tour section. I’m sure there’s more that I don’t have, but still. That’s crazy.
In the media section, I’ve added a few new interviews with radio stations that the band has done. We also have a new wallpaper thanks to Marley. As promised, the entire Columbia show has been posted. A big thanks to Spree for shooting that, and uploading it. Also, a new interview with James for Vic Firth has been uploaded.
The fans section has been updated with a brand new tattoo thanks to Jenn. A few new pieces of fan art have also been added thanks to Mooncownow, Nichola and Hope.
Quick album/chart update: The band is up to 938,745 albums sold, and 985,000 shipped. Only a couple more weeks for 1,000,000. :D Also, Z100, the biggest pop station in the country, has added All Around Me to their rotation. From what I understand, it’s being played quite a bit too.
I also come bearing media updates tonight. I actually got off my butt and made some graphics for the site. First, I added a new set of signatures made from caps from the Special Edition CD/DVD. There’s one for each band member. I also made a set of 6new wallpapers. There’s a full band one, as well as one for each member.
As far as videos, I’m working on the Columbia show that Spree recorded, so that should be up next time. For now, I’ve added 2 new interviews from Cornerstone 2007 and The Zone in 2006. Both of the videos have either Sameer or Lacey talking about the band’s faith in depth, which is really awesome.
On the fan art page, I also added 2 iPhone wallpapers that Bill did. Big thanks to him for sending those in.
It’s been a long time coming, but the opportunity to buy the Music as a Weapon EP is now available. It costs five dollars, and as far as I know, the proceeds from the sales still go to World Vision. In addition to that, a bunch more t-shirts, a hoodie and the album can now be purchased.
In the media section, 4 new pieces of fanart were added thanks to Michelle, Isha, Collie and Melissa. Also, I ripped 6 MTV Artist of the Week spots. I’ll have about 6 hours of MTV footage to sort through by the end of the night, and Ali has some as well. So once we get a second to sort through all that, there will hopefully be a bunch more to watch.
Over 500 photos have been added to the gallery since I last linked any in an update. Check them out. :D
Congratulations to Karla, Candy, and Derrel for winning 1st, 2nd and 3rd place respectively in the Flyleaf Online Karaoke Contest. The winners have been notified through email. Thank you to everyone who joined, and everyone who voted. Everyone did really awesome. :D The next contest will be up soon.
In the second week of sales for the Special Edition CD/DVD, Flyleaf sold over 10,100 copies. That brings them up to 930,000 shipped. They’re also currently #88 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.
In the media section, 3 more videos from the MySpace Secret Show in Raleigh, NC were posted. You can view those here. Thanks again to Spree for shooting those videos. I also added a few new icons to the icons page from the new photoshoot. If you guys have anything to donate to the media section, feel free to hit me up. I’ll post it in the next update.
Lots of site updates today guys. Prepare yourselves. :P
In the band section, the chart history page has been updated as always with new numbers. The band is up to #11 on the Top Modern Rock Track chart, and up to #65 on the Top 200. The album has been on that chart for 75 weeks so far, which is awesome. In addition to that, the FAQ has been updated with information about Tina, and more about Lacey’s tattoos for those of you who are interested. The Blast From The Past page has also been heavily updated.
In the media section, 11 new wallpapers were added on the donated page. Thanks to everyone that sent some in. :D On the video page, we put up Flyleaf’s appearance on Rock the Deuce. That can be found in the interview section. Spree also sent in some amazing live videos from the Atlanta Family Values date that we’ll be adding up in a couple days. So look forward to those. The audio section also got a facelift. It’s much easier to navigate now. I’m thinking about having a feature where you guys can stream each audio file as well as being able to download it. If you’re interested in that feature, let me know in a comment and I’ll see what I can do. :]
The fan section was updated with a couple of new tattoos from Cate. In addition to that, the Flyleaf fanlisting has over 600 members now. If you haven’t joined already, you should check it out. :]
As far as miscellaneous site updates go, I upgraded the gallery software and modified the templates. Now it has updates at the bottom of the main page, and a chunk of statistics. I also added a form to the bottom of the right sidebar where you can sign up for the Flyleaf Online Newsletter. Every month or so, I’ll be sending out updates on the band that include videos, pictures and anything else relevant. So feel free to sign up for it. :]
Flyleaf will be on MTV2’s Rock the Deuce tomorrow night 8/25 at 10PM EST. Ali will be taping/ripping the episode for upload here, so if you can’t see it, don’t worry. For everyone who can watch it, please do. :]
In the band section, the discography section was updated with the information about the I’m So Sick remix that will be appearing on the Resident Evil Extinction soundtrack. I uploaded the track to the radio for everyone to listen to. It’s really an awesome remix. If you enjoy it, you should pick up the soundtrack on September 18th. In addition to that, the chart page was updated. Flyleaf is #7 on the Top Hard Rock Albums right now.
In the media section, a bunch of new audio was uploaded. Two new shows were added from the NJ FVT dates, and 2 acoustic tracks were also put up. The acoustic All Around Me has a slight glitchy sound in it, but aside from that, the recordings are pretty good. Also uploaded into the media section, were some new fanarts and wallpapers. So enjoy.
The scrapbook project was a big success. Over 50 people entered something for the book, and the very first one is completed. I spent around 12 hours putting it all together yesterday. It will be delivered to the band this Sunday at the Hartford, Connecticut show. Caleb, Ali and I will be attending that show if anybody wants to shout us a h0lla.
The band section has been updated with more new numbers on the chart history page. According to Billboard.com, Flyleaf has the #1 Christian and Gospel album right now. All Around me is also moving up the charts consistently. So congratulations to them.
A new wallpaper was added up thanks to Courtney. Also, a new fan tattoo was put up as well. Thanks to Debra for submitting that.
A project page has been added to the fan section. It’s a scrapbook project from the fans to the band that everyone should check out and consider submitting something for. All of the details can be found on this page. Also, in the fan section, the fanart and tattoo pages have been updated.
The media section has been updated with 9 new icons and 3 awesome new wallpapers all made by Karla. In addition to that, 3 more videos have been added up that consist of So I Thought and Cassie from Camden, and Tina from Chambersburg.
In the band section, the meaning to All Around Me was added to the FAQ page. Also, a live version of Again has been uploaded to the Flyleaf Online radio. I’ll be adding Have We Lost as soon as I can get my hands on some good audio of it.
Flyleaf’s appearance on Fuse’s The Sauce is now up for hi-res and lo-res download in the video section. If anyone wants the ultra-HQ version of the interview/All Around Me clip, then you can get that here. It’s a good 240MBS and it’s an MPG. Thanks to Mike for sending that file in. He gets all the stuff we can’t get ourselves and we’re really grateful for that.
In the lyrics section, the full lyrics to the new song Have We Lost have been posted. Sameer posted them in a blog on Flyleaf’s MySpace. Thanks to Lori for originally sending them to me.
The fanart section was heavily updated tonight with 11 new drawings. Thank you to Cherry, Riley, Kristen, Keith, Michael and Michelle for sending those in.
I have a bunch more stuff to add, so I should have another update sometime soon. I’ve been fiddling with a new design for the site, but nothing too impressive so far. Hopefully I can get something new up within the next few weeks.
The second leg of the Justice and Mercy tour has been announced. All of the dates have been posted on the tour page. The May 19th date has been posted differently all over the net. In the Flyleaf mailing list email, it’s listed as The Station. On their MySpace blog, it’s listed as Irving Plaza in Clifton Park [which isn’t in Clifton Park], and on Kill Hannah’s MySpace [who they will be touring with during the second leg] it says they’re playing at Northern Lights in Clifton Park. So if you’re planning on attending any three of those dates, keep a look out until it’s confirmed.
Flyleaf will be launching an official fanclub sometime in May according to their ticketing site and various announcements today. “Fan Club members will receive access to a member’s only website with exclusive content, chat servers, contests and promotional opportunities throughout the year.” There isn’t much information floating around about it, but I’ll let everyone know more about it when I find something.
One new article was posted earlier on this week. It gives some information on the new album. According to the article, seven new tracks have been written for the record, and they’re hoping to begin recording sometime this summer for a late 2007/early 2008 release.
Four new pieces of fanart have been added in the media section. Thank you to Ali, Michael and S.Vetter for donating those. They all came out beautifully.
In the gallery, a bunch of pictures were added from the White Rabbit show in San Antonio taken by Ali. The reason you see acoustic guitars and darkness is because lightning struck outside the venue right before Flyleaf’s set and blew the electricity. They were troopers and brought out the acoustics to continue the show [without speakers or microphones]. I saw a few videos that a fan named Michael sent in, and the entire crowd was singing along to every word. It looks like everyone had a blast. I’ll add the videos and a ton more pictures in the next few days.
Flyleaf has been confirmed to appear on the Family Values Tour 2007 with Korn, Evanescence, Atreyu, HellYeah and Trivium. As soon as dates become available, they will be posted so keep a look out.
The Justice and Mercy tour officially kicked off a couple nights ago. The band has been playing three new songs on the tour, and thanks to Kat Hartmann, the setlist from the Memphis show can be posted.

Kat said the setlist might be different for upcoming shows, but it still gives you a good idea of what to expect if you’re seeing the band perform on this tour.
The new single has finally been confirmed. All Around Me will be going for alternative radio adds on April 17th. No word yet on the video, but it’ll be posted here as soon as it’s official. Perfect will be pushed towards Christian rock radio sometime soon as well.
The ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ cover was added to the radio for everyone to listen to whenever they want.
In the media section, I uploaded two new wallpapers. A beautiful new piece of fanart drawn by Cherry was also added.
Over 200 pictures were added to the gallery in the past week or so. Most of them are HQ. It’d take me forever to list them so just click the thumbnails and enjoy the big pictures. :D
