The Poughkeepsie show tonight has been rescheduled because of all the snow. I haven’t seen it posted anywhere on Flyleaf’s sites, but it’s legit. We saw them yesterday at the Looney Tunes in-store, and their tour manager confirmed that it was rescheduled. You can view the venue’s for more information.

So instead of seeing the band play a headliner today, I’m going to work on the site! I will be posting the pictures and video from the Looney Tunes acoustic event last night, and finding some stuff that I know I have from the last few shows that I haven’t uploaded. So stay tuned. I’ll post as everything gets uploaded. :) For the record, is the coolest record store I’ve been in lately. Go there if you live in the area. Here are some photos from tonight’s Grammy Awards. The show just started, but here are some pictures from the red carpet. Lacey was nominated twice along with Third Day for her vocal work on the song Born Again. They didn’t win for the two Lacey was a part of, but Third Day did win for Best Rock Or Rap Gospel Album, so congratulations to them! Click the pictures below for some more shots. Below is an intereview with Lacey. It’s mainly about her life. I thought it was interesting. It says it was published in July. But this is the first time I’ve seen it.
You had a rough childhood, didn’t you?
I lived with my mom, a single mom with six kids. We grew up kinda poor. I got picked on a lot at school. My family always taught me about the Lord, but I dealt with serious depression that started when I was 10. I began questioning how a loving God can let bad things happen the way they do, because I had a 3-year-old cousin who was murdered. That was the year I decided I just didn’t believe anymore.
How did that influence your teen years?
I started going down a really negative path and tended to relate to dark things more. I got deeper into destructive behavior. When I was 16 I felt like I hit a wall and everything was crashing down around me. I was fighting with my mom every day, and I moved to live with my grandparents in Mississippi. I didn’t care about anything. I was a bad kid. I just laughed at everything and everybody and was really hateful. -

As of October 6, 2009, Memento Mori will be available for pre-order on iTunes. By pre-ordering the album through there, you receive Beautiful Bride as an instant gratification track, the whole album when it comes out, as well as two bonus tracks. Sounds pretty awesome right?

In addition to the pictures, a few new icons from when the band was in the studio have been added. I also caught the video interview page up by adding 6 interviews that you all may or may not have seen. I’m in the process of adding more older videos to the site. I’ll edit this post with more as it’s done! :)
I also added a poll to the sidebar of the site asking what older Flyleaf song you guys would like to see played live this fall. Cast your vote. Who knows? Maybe the band will see it and take it into consideration! ;)
Pretty cool, dontcha think? I also added the band’s official video player/kyte chat program. No matter where the Kyte chat code is posted, it shows up with the same Flyleaf-y chat. So use it to talk with other Flyleaf fans, and watch the band in the studio while you’re at it. Post it on your MySpace, Facebook, or pretty much anywhere. My username on there is ‘flyleafbrittany’ if you happen to see me online. :)
We just got back from seeing Flyleaf at , which was pretty great. It was our first time seeing them at a Christian Festival. Lacey had a lot of great stories that she told during the show about Fully Alive, Believe in Dreams, and their cover of You Are My Joy. Instead of singing I Love You, Lord, they opened with Oh Lord, To You. You can watch that .
As far as site updates go, the chart history page has been updated. In addition to that, I added the Denver show to the live audio page, and a couple clips of Lacey on Open House on the radio audio page thanks to Noel.

Here’s a new interview where the band talks about how long they’ve been together, how they’re writing for the new album, and why they wanted to do the Rock Corps show.
Alrighty, time for a quick update. The chart history page was updated again. The band has been continually moving up on the Pop charts lately, which is awesome. They’re up to #24 on Top 40 and #18 on Pop 100 Airplay.
In addition to that, some more videos from Tink’s have been uploaded including I’m Sorry, Sorrow & Penholder.
Caleb and I will be showing up at the Delaware acoustic performance tomorrow afternoon, as well as the show at the Electric Factory show tomorrow night. Say hi if you see us. :]
Today (April 19, 2008) was Record Store Day. Flyleaf sent out an email alert letting everyone know that the Much Like Falling EP was going to be available in local record stores today, and today only. Thanks to Jake, we have scans of the EP.
In the band section, I added a lot of tour dates and some video information on Sorrow. More will be added once we know more about it. In addition to that, the chart history page has been updated heavily. All Around Me has been doing really well on Top 40. It’s at #26 right now. The song has also been doing really well on other pop charts.
The chat with Sameer went really well. I think around 40 people were involved, and it was really hard to keep up, but it was cool. Pat showed up about 15 minutes after Sameer did, surprising everyone. A lot of fun facts were learned about the two of them including Sameer’s favorite authors, what Have We Lost means and something about Pat wearing high heels. All in all, a good time was had by all.
The frequently asked questions page was updated with the meaning of Have We Lost and some info about what Lacey sings before Justice and Mercy at shows. In addition to that, a few more tour dates have been added.
As far as fans/media goes, the fan tattoos page has been updated with Kayla’s tattoo and story. Some new wallpapers were also added thanks to Marley.
I have lots and lots of updates tonight, starting with the chart history page. Breathe Today has moved up a few spots to #36 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. In addition to that, the tour page has been updated with new dates. Flyleaf will be playing a few Christian festivals this summer including Creation and Sonshine. I added a show count to each year, and a total one to the main tour page as well. After tallying them all up, the band has played over 550 shows since 2002 that I’ve logged in the tour section. I’m sure there’s more that I don’t have, but still. That’s crazy.
In the media section, I’ve added a few new interviews with radio stations that the band has done. We also have a new wallpaper thanks to Marley. As promised, the entire Columbia show has been posted. A big thanks to Spree for shooting that, and uploading it. Also, a new interview with James for Vic Firth has been uploaded.
The fans section has been updated with a brand new tattoo thanks to Jenn. A few new pieces of fan art have also been added thanks to Mooncownow, Nichola and Hope.
