Did you have any ‘Spinal Tap’ moments this year?
My entire career has been one long Spinal Tap moment spiraling out of control. A couple of months back we were playing a big outdoor festival supporting The Pixies and Interpol in Mexico City. When we started the set it was as if I channeled the Air Force show in Spinal Tap. There was exponentially more Mexican talk radio coming through my amp than any guitar sounds. Then a 14″ step pyramid lowered from the truss and was almost trod upon by little people dressed like Aztec priests. I envy us.

How ironic; MY New Year's resolution is to shred like it's 1986. I think this proves that Sameer and I are meant to be best friends.

I think Sameer needs to remember the 80's were the worst years of everything. very few good things came out of the 80's.

late 80's, when she became 3, she probs started to talk a lot more and it changed the world for the better!
