Sameer is doing a lot of press for the new album lately! Here is another article where he talks about Flyleaf’s new record, Memento Mori.
Flyleaf recorded the album with producer Howard Benson, who also produced ‘Flyleaf’. “It’s a wake-up call for all of us to remember that we’re mortal, and we don’t have that much time on this earth to waste time being hopeless and treating each other terribly,” Bhattacharya says.
Bhattacharya, 24, reports the band completed the record two weeks ago, and said fans can expect a late October release date.
“All of us in the band are probably the most excited about this batch of songs then anything we’ve written yet. There’s so much significance in the music, in the lyrics, in the story that it tells,” he says.
And while Flyleaf doesn’t label itself as a Christian band, faith plays a role in the band’s music. “Our faith gives our perspective on the world. There’s no escaping that. We have a strong foundation in our faith,” Bhattacharya says.
“Memento Mori” shows the band’s progress since 2005, the guitarist says. “There’s so much maturity there that wasn’t there on the first record,” Bhattacharya says.
The name of the band references the blank pages at the front and the back of a book. Bhattacharya says the name represents gaining perspective. “You go through all of these things in life. … At the end, that’s where you get your clarity again,” he says.

Late October?
I’m hoping this is the actual, confirmed release time.
Cuz the date of release for this album has been changing a lot.

Adele, she was referring to the people who leaked the 30 second clip of “Again” on the ST when she said people are ’stupid’. Instead of jumping on her, perhaps you should read the thread of comments and figure out who she’s really talking about.

I think the difference now between all the other dates thrown out there was that this time the band actually said themselves that they are done recording it. In the past it was just estimates of when they would be done…now they are done with their part & i guess just have to wait for all the mixing & final stuff…then we get it in our hands!!!! yippeeeeee now we can actually take this date for real i think!!! (guessing as long as the producers or whoever does their job next keep it moving along…maybe we’ll get lucky & it will come together even sooner!!)
